If the homeowner request removal of clippings, they may be bagged for an additional fee. Mowing service after October may require a leaf removal first.

Spring/Fall Mulch (March - July in Spring; Oct. – Dec. in Fall)
• Remove debris, edge, and mulch beds with premium double shredded hardwood mulch.

Spring Clean Up
Remove leaves and debris from lawn.

Mosquito Control (May - August)
Applications focus on trees, shrubs, mulch, potted plants and woodpiles where mosquitos live, to
    reduce populations on your property.

Landscape Shrub and Tree Installation
• We work with the client to help with the selection of plants or trees, as well as manage the installation.

Turf Enhancement
• Fertilization & Weed Control Program: Fertilization and crabgrass/broadleaf weed control of your lawn is essential for the production of quality turf. This program provides fertilization and weed control applications from February through December. The early spring applications consist of pre-emergent weed controls, and time-release fertilizer. The summer applications consist of broadleaf weed/post-emergent controls, and low nitrogen fertilizer. The fall applications consist of broadleaf/winter weed control, and fertilizer with higher nitrogen. These applications do not address fungal issues, pest, or nuisance grasses such as Bermuda/Zoysia. They require specific treatments and can be addressed for additional charges. Please note the below timeframes are only a guideline, and will vary with weather conditions.

February - March: Fertilizer and pre-emergent application to prevent crabgrass germination in spring.
April - May: Fertilizer and post-emergent application.
June - July: Fertilizer, post-emergent and broadleaf weed application.
October - December: Fertilizer application, and broadleaf/winter weed application.

Lime
Pelletized lime is applied to the lawn to maintain proper pH for optimum turf grass nutrient absorption.

Grub Control (July – September)
• Grubs are beetle larvae that live in your soil, and mature after a year of feeding on your grass root system, causing major damage to your lawn. This is a preventive application, working to stop grubs from damaging the root system of your lawn, and is applied in late July - September when the larvae are hatching. An additional application can be scheduled in the spring for severe infestation.

Aeration and Seeding (Late August - October)
• Core aeration utilizes a machine that pulls plugs out of the soil and disperses them throughout the lawn. As lawns age, or sustain heavy use from play, pets, and traffic, soil compaction can result. Soil compacting forces are most severe in poorly drained or wet sites. Compaction greatly reduces the pore space within the soil that would normally hold air. Roots require oxygen to grow, and absorb nutrients and water. Compaction reduces total pore space, and the amount of air within the soil. It has a negative impact on nutrient uptake, and water infiltration, in addition to being a physical barrier to root growth.
• Seed is applied to your existing turf areas that receive direct or partial sunlight (generally seed and grass need a minimum of 3 hours of sunlight a day). Slit-seeding is an additional service to help ensure proper soil contact. The seeding program does not apply to heavily shaded areas that will not sustain turf due to insufficient sunlight. These areas may be addressed with landscapes, canopy thinning, or drainage solutions.

Pruning
• Shrubs – Prune all ornamental shrubs (less than 12’ in height), to maintain proper shape and health. This service is performed twice annually in late spring/summer and fall. Ornamental shrubs, such as azaleas and rhododendron that set their bulbs in late spring/summer will not be pruned in the fall, so as not to destroy next season’s flowers.
• Ornamental Trees - Prune ornamental trees (less than 12’ in height), to maintain shape and health.
• Ornamental Grasses - Prune ornamental grasses such as liriope, tiger grass, and fountain grass.

Ornamental Shrub Care
• Inspect and treat ornamental shrubs for pests and disease. This program is designed to enhance and protect your ornamental landscape shrubs from damage caused by disease and insects, as well as fertilize the plants, which is imperative for their health. This program is preventative, it does not guarantee the health of shrubs that are damaged beyond survival due to uncommon infestation, or lack of water/sun light. Severe disease/insect issues will be treated with stronger chemicals at an additional fee. The schedule for this program is as follows:
      Spring: Fertilize ornamental shrubs.
Spring – Fall: Inspect and treat shrubs for disease and insects.
      Fall: Fertilize ornamental shrubs.

Plant Seasonal Flowers
• Bedded flowers - Plant seasonal flowers in beds, providing color to your landscape. This service is performed twice a year, in the spring and fall, using vincas or begonias in spring and pansies in the fall.
• Potted flowers - Plant seasonal flowers in pots.

Weed Control (April – November)
• Treat existing beds, walkways, patios, and driveway from April through November, keeping the beauty of your landscape beds and property by removing the weeds and crabgrass. This is a maintenance program. If client signs up for weed control after April, then an initial clean up may be needed prior to monthly service. Clean up will be billed at our per man/per hour rate.

Leaf Removal (October - December)
• Blow/Rake leaves off all ground areas (grass, drive/walks, and flower beds). This service is based on the size and conditions of the property, as well as the schedule and certain request of the homeowner.

Property Maintenance (January – February)
• Blow off driveway, walkways, and deck (if accessible). Pick up large debris from the yard and beds, so the property looks good throughout the winter. This is a twice a month program from January and February. If additional visits are requested, they will be invoiced at our per man/per hour rate.

Snow Removal
• Remove snow from the driveway and walkway to the font door.
